Finding its home in the heart of Evansville, EVPL Central provides information, resources, and support to the city’s dynamic downtown residential, cultural, and business communities as well as to Vanderburgh County at large. Distinguished by its landmark Evansville Kiwanis Clock, the 145,000 square foot facility offers extended hours and a wide variety of amenities that include meeting and study spaces, the beautifully appointed Indiana Room, and a U.S. Passport facility.
Our READ Center is a vibrant and fun experience for children and families. Captain READ’s landing offers an interactive area for our younger visitors to explore board books and activities. We have dedicated computers for children to work on homework or play games. During the warmer weather, take a stroll through our renovated Children’s Garden or bring a picnic to eat with your family.
EVPL Central is dedicated to providing our community with the resources it needs. We are proud to offer WiFi, public computer access, printers, and more. With our various meeting room and study spaces, you will find the perfect space for your next meeting or to work individually on whatever ignites your curiosity.
Soak up the sun in our one of our two gardens, or relive history in the Indiana Room. Our staff is ready to welcome you to EVPL Central.
