I just had a wonderful bowl of potato/cheese/broccoli soup and a piece of the best carrot cake I have ever, ever tasted! Hurray for the new cafe with hot items on the menu!

Yeah! Glad to see it's finally open. Haven't had a chance to enjoy a meal, however I had the carrot cake and iced tea. I could smell the lasagna all the way up in the Reference area all day - smelled delicious!
I'm so jealous! I'm going for lunch today to have a bit myself.
It's nice to have the "food smell" back in the library. The chicken salad is good and finally after many, many months, good coffee!
OMG! So I went to the cafe today for lunch, perused the menu and decided on beef stew. IT WAS AMAZING! Huge chunks of potatos and beef in a thinner than usual broth. Cross cut carrots and a few peas really added to the stew. It was slightly spicy and really hit the spot! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a one dish lunch, very filling!
The beef stew sounds good. I had a chicken salad sandwich this week. It was tasty and came with chips for only $4.32
I am not much of a coffee drinker, but heard the coffee was good and reasonably priced.
