Osborne, Usborn, Usborne, Us Born Books, whatever?

Is anyone familiar with this publisher and the Usborne Books? I don't mean Mary Pope Osborne, but that's what came to mind when my next door neighbor started raving about the beautiful educational books she buys for her daughter.

Then I remembered, I have one on my bookshelf-On the Beach a lift the flap book . I love it! The illustrations are filled with beautiful color , detail, and dimension. The text is informative. What intrigued me was that these books can be

purchased at book parties-just like tupperware. You can attend a party or give one, be a consultant just like Mary Kay and make up beautiful bookshelves instead of faces. Is anyone a consultant or knows one? Has anyone been to a party?  We have lots of these books in the system and I'm glad.  Thanks EZReader. Look under Usborne and enjoy.Beach

When I was a pre-school teacher I used Usborne books all the time. The topics are informative and the illustrations are very colorful. I would also recommend the Dorling Kindersly books for real pictures.

My fellow guatemamas and I have had several fundraisers using Usborne Books to raise money for mission trips and for sending Spanish books to rural schools and children in Guatemala.

Usborne books are wonderful!  I was a rep for them between library jobs so I have first hand knowledge of the company and products.  I even have a picture of me with Mr. Peter Usborne - the British founder of the company.  The company is based in England. The U.S. distributor is called EDC - Educational Development Corporation.  To get to the U.S. website to find out more about Usborne, go to www.edcpub.com.  You can shop online or contact the company to find a local distributor.
