Hey, I just noticed that Rotten Tomatoes already has a trailer analysis up at http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/harry_potter_and_the_half_blood_prince/news/1745198/rts_trailer_breakdown_harry_potter_and_the_half_blood_prince but surely if you have read the book it's okay to read it.

Do I have to see the previous movies in order to enjoy this one? If you must know, I haven't read the books, either.
I tried to read the first book two separate times, but could never get into it -- so haven't read the rest. I have watched all the movies, and I would definitely recommend that. In my view they improve as Harry ages -- more adult themes and scarier enemies.
It's nice that there are still two Harry Potter movies to look forward to, now that all seven books are out.
Definitely watch the other movies. It helps if you've read the books too, but that's not a requirement. Just watch the other movies and you should be good.
Also, I agree with MediaPhile...they definitely get better as Harry ages. Sure, they're darker, but not too scary for young adults. Little kids...maybe...
