GhostbustersIt has been a big couple weeks for the comedy series the US has loved for so long.  The original Ghostbusters has recently been rereleased as a promotional add on to some PNY USB Flash drives.  If the idea of ghosts on your USB drive doesn't bother you, somethin' tells me the $60 price tag will.  In related news, co-writer Harold Ramis, also egghead scientist Igon, has said he is currently in the works with some of the original creators to come up with a modern adaptation of the parapsychological comedy.  He went on to say that all the original players have agreed to make appearances.

There's a new Ghostbusters videogame coming out featuring all the original cast (even Walter Peck!!).  Prior to the announcement of this new movie, the game was being billed as the "3rd movie".

The game was 'sposed to be released in time for Halloween, but has been delayed until next year.  Rumor has it that the original two Ghostbusters films will be released on Blu-ray at the same time.  As these are two of my favorite movies (still have all my toys, even a proton pack & ghost trap, from when the cartoon was big), I can't wait!

I love the first two Ghostbusters movies and I watched the cartoon every Saturday as a kid, but I'm not sure how I feel about a third movie. I'm getting tired of belated sequals, re-makes and TV show take-offs. Can't we have something new? That said, if they make a third GB movie, I'm sure I'll watch it anyway.
