What is your favorite episode of the original tv series Star Trek?  Mine is definitely "I Mudd".  And I just found out that you can actually watch full length Star Trek episodes on your computer.  Talk about instant gratification......  This is a Baby Boomer's "me generation" dream come true.  The original series ran from 1966 - 1969. 

I saw the new Star Trek movie last night and was really impressed. All the hype is true.  No compromises in this one.  Everything fits.  The actors that were chosen if they didn't actually look like their counterparts used appropriate voice inflections or had similar mannerisms.  And Bones exclaimed the obligatory statement "I'm a Doctor, Jim, not a physicist!!!"  and Scottie yelled out "I'm giving her all she's got Captain!!!".

I started raving about it when I got to work and now lots of people want to go see it.  I predict a resurge in interest again in the original tv series.

Of course EVPL has all the Star Treks (old and new).  Star Trek (season 1) original series all the way to the last movie on DVD; Star Trek, Insurrection

star trek      I wasn't really impressed with the movie poster so I just put this one on. 

  The guy in the background left is "Chekov", and the guy on the right is "Zulu" and is Harold from the movie Harold and Kumar go to White Castle.  And of course left "Spock" and right "Kirk.

Come on guys!!!   Let's see some comments.  Everybody loves Star Trek.

I believe the character's name was Sulu - Hikaru Sulu.

FYI - Star Trek, the original series, is now broadcast Saturday evenings on WEVV-DT 44-2. Now our 8-year-old is becoming a Trek-fan too!

I grew up watching Star Trek with my dad, especially Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. I finally got to see the new movie last weekend and really enjoyed it. I'm so glad I caught it before it left the big screen!

I liked the new movie but it always seems when the story is weak the plot involves a "time shift" or "going back or forward in time". I wish the story for the movie was better. I liked the original as well as 2nd generation and voyager.
