Movies to Make Me Yawn

Lately I haven't seen anything that I am just dying to see.  I took Duplicity home.  I popped it into the old dvd player Sunday night and prepared to be entertained by Clive Owens and Julia Roberts.  The first scene caught my eye where there was no dialog and Tom Wilkinson and Paul Giamatti appeared to be on an airport runway and in v-e-r-r-r-yyyy  s-l-o-wwww  motion they began to fight.

From then on there was really nothing interesting to see or hear so I put the tv on mute and listened to my latest book on my mp3 player.  I realize this is a negative non-review of a movie but I'm just trying to be honest.  Anybody else seen it?  Come on disagree with me!!!!  Tell me I'm just not giving it a chance.  Somebody yell at me.   Then tell me what movies you couldn't bear to watch.

I think the last movie I had trouble getting through was My Name is Bruce. I was disapointed.

BASED ON YOUR IN DEPTH PENETRATING HONEST NON-REVIEW I HAVE DECIDED TO WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL, 'DUPLICITY IN THE CITY', WHERE I IMAGINE THAT IT WILL BE A CARICATURE OF ITSELF, SINCE I KINDA LIKE BAD MOVIES, I DID SIT THROUGH 'BLAIR WITCH PROJECT', I WILL WAIT FOR JULIA TO STOP BEING IN DENIAL ABOUT DOING 'Prêt-à-Pretty', AND PERHAPS KILLING TWO SEQUELS WITHOUT ACTUALLY HARMING THE ORIGINALS.

AND CLIVE TO DO A WRAP ON 'INSIDE MAN 2'.

Writer-director Tony Gilroy named Julia Roberts' character "Stenwick" as a tribute to the classic-era movie actress Barbara Stanwyck

BARBARA DEBUTED IN BROADWAY NIGHTS (1927) (uncredited) .... AS A FAN DANCER.

Continuity: When the waiter serves Stenwick champagne at the end of the film, the amount of champagne in her glass increases between shots.

IN 'DOGMA' THE ANGEL METATRON WAS ALLOWED TO TASTE BUT NOT SWALLOW ALCOHOL.

Ray Koval: Then you seduce me, then you drug me and ransack my hotel room.

Claire Stenwick: I'm sorry.

NOTICE THAT CLAIRE ONLY SAYS SORRY ONCE.

THE ONE MOVIE I COULD NOT BEAR TO WATCH IS 'BAMBI'.

THE ONE MOVIE I COULD NOT BEAR TO WATCH (AGAIN) IS THE FIRST MOVIE I EVER SAW AT A MOVIE THEATRE, 'OLD YELLER'

I HAVE MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT 'DUMBO', SOME MOVIES ARE JUST TOO LONG AND COULD BE IMPROVED WITH SOME EDITING.

WELL THAT'S ENOUGH YELLING FOR ONE DAY I GUESS.

OH...Film critic Roger Ebert, (who gets paid to give films a chance) gave the film three out of four stars and wrote, "Duplicity is entertaining, but the complexities of its plot keep it from being really involving: When nothing is as it seems, why care?", but admitted that "the fun is in watching Roberts and Owen fencing with dialogue, keeping straight faces, trying to read each other's minds."
