In the world of Hip-Hop one contrivance works like no other, cameos. In his newest creation, St. Louis's own Nelly has dropped one of the most densely packed creations of the year. Every track features a superstar or members of the St. Lunatics crew. Not a single track exclusively features the star. Hmmmm. Don't get me wrong, the tracks are much more enjoyable for including so many styles and mindsets, but it makes me wonder if Nelly can carry a whole CD on his own. His lines seem fresh enough, and the diversity of production lends the album a certain listenable quality. On the flip side, surely these appearances cost Nelly a small fortune. Even if he sold a million copies, chances are he isn't making as much as his next video lets on.
