Keeping a weather eye

If, like me, you're keeping an eye on the coastal hurricane activity these days, you'll be interested in a Web site called Stormpulse. You'll find a huge amount of hurricane information there, from as far back as 1851. Great maps, satellite images, Yahoo! News articles, and present weather conditions are all there. Check it out:

This is so cool.  I am a total weather nut and thought I knew ALL the sites.  Thanks!

I had just checked out the book Isaac's Storm, about the deadly hurricane that hit Galveston in 1900, when I started hearing the warnings about Hurricane Ike, which is now due to hit Galveston with deadly force tonight. Spooks me a bit.

I had read the book Their Eyes Were Watching God, which had a storm based on a 1928 Florida hurricane, and was able to track it via this site. Florida got blasted by hurricanes that year.
