Clutter-clearing, simplicity, and getting organized

A number of my online friends and I have started watching "Hoarders" on A&E, and we all seem to have noticed a change in the way we view our posessions and our homes: our homes are beginning to look crowded, with too much "stuff." (And other people's, too -- I'm amazed at all the people who park in their driveways in my subdivision, because their garages are full.)

I read somewhere that decluttering is a pretty common New Year's resolution, and with the first month of the year drawing to a close, this might be a good time to assess progress if it was one of yours. The Library has some resources to get you back on track if you haven't accomplished as much as you'd like, including bunches of books.
