Evansville's rich sports history recounted

Ron Eaton, author of "Local Legends: The stories behind the headlines" will speak at Stringtown Branch Library on Tuesday, March 31, at 7:00 p.m. This is an occasion to share your memories and learn more about your favorite hometown atheletes. Eaton's book is filled will fascinating details about our local stars as well as the entire local sports enterprise, from famous arenas (Reitz Bowl, Bosse Field, Huntingburg's Field of Dreams) to sports announcers, famous fans, stirring triumphs and heartbreaking tragedies. Autographed copies of Eaton's book, a classic by which future local sports histories will be measured, will be available for sale.
