December of 1954 marks the month when Evansville citizens lived in fear & suspicion as two citizens were murdered in a similar fashion a mere few
weeks apart. On December 2nd, the murderer robbed & killed Evansville citizen Mary Holland while she was working at the Bellemeade Liquor Store. In
the early morning hours on December 23rd, Whitney Wesley Kerr was killed in a similar fashion at the Standard Service Station. The terror & fear
continued for the next year as the "Mad Dog" Killer remained at large, wreaking havoc in the Tri-State area, killing again on March 21st and
March 28th.
