Popular Book Discussion: The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak

Tuesday, February 6, 2018
6:30pm - 7:30pm
North Park - Meeting Room

Join us for friendly discussion of books that have caught the popular interest: fiction, memoir, non-fiction alike.

This month we are discussing The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak. This book took everyone by surprise when the relatively unknown author hit the NYT Bestseller List straightaway, and then stayed for years and years.

from the publisher:
"It’s just a small story really, about among other things: a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. . . .

Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak’s groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich."
