Knitting Tips and Tricks

Thursday, September 7, 2017
6:00pm - 7:00pm
North Park - Meeting Room

Ever wondered how to pick up a dropped stitch? How to fix it when you knitted when you should have purled? How to understand what a swatch is, and why the patterns recommend it? How to change colors or add a new skein of yarn?

Tips & Tricks will help answer some of your questions. We have a list of things we like to cover in this class, but it’s also a time for you to ask questions about your knitting - so write down what you’d like to learn from this class & bring your list!!

For this class, you must supply needles and yarn - see details below.

HOMEWORK: Knit a swatch to use in class: use light colored yarn, worsted weight or chunkier, and appropriately sized needles.
Co 20 sts, knit 4 rows to create a garter border so swatch won’t roll; then
Row 1: knit across;
Row 2: k3, purl to last 3 sts, K3.
Repeat rows 1 & 2 for 2 inches & then leave on your needle to use in class.

If you have problems providing supplies, Nancy may be able to help.
