Letters to Santa
Frequently Asked Questions
- Who will answer the letters?
EVPL staff volunteers, including Youth Services staff, are looking forward to reading the messages and will provide appropriate replies.
- What if my child asks for an inappropriate gift, or one he's not likely to receive?
The replies will not refer to any specific gift items.
- Can I see my child's wish list?
Because of the need to protect privacy, only first names will be attached to the messages, making it impossible to determine the sender. However, select letters may be posted on the library's website.
- Who will have access to my/my child's email address?
Email addresses are not visible to staff, so privacy is protected. The return message from Santa will come from northpole@evpl.org. Email addresses are used solely for sending a response and are not used for any other purposes (marketing, advertising, etc.). See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for additional information.
- My child doesn't have an email address. Is there any other way to receive a response?
No, responses will only be sent via email. Parents may submit their own email address with their child's letter to receive the response.
- What if my child doesn't receive a response?
Some spam filters may accidentally deliver the response to your "Junk Mail" folder. If you are unable to locate it there, visit our View Your Response page and input your submitted email address to view it.
