Your Old Books

Although librarians love books, and we love being asked questions, we're really not the best folks to ask about values of old books, simply because we're not in that business. You can always consult the Library's books that list book prices, but a listing in a reference book is not often relevant to a particular book, since one edition may be worth more than another (and it often takes an expert to identify a particular edition), to say nothing of condition. And age in itself is no indicator of value at all.

But the books in Library will do much to familiarize the collector with general principles and practices of book collecting, and we do carry guides to the values of specific editions you may wish to consult.
