Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan provides access to materials from other libraries across the country that are not owned by EVPL.

Eligibility: Only customers over the age of 18, with a permanent address in Vanderburgh County and who have a valid and permanent EVPL card.

Non-resident cardholders: Must make Interlibrary Loan requests through their home library.

Loss of eligibility: Customers who fail to return materials on time or pay fees charged by the lending library may lose ILL privileges.

Items for Loan: EVPL can only request what lending libraries will loan, which is primarily books. Items generally not for loan are:

Reference material
New titles published in the last 3 months
Audio-visual material such as DVDs and CDs
Magazines and journals, although most libraries will agree to send a photocopy of articles
