The Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library Foundation
A strong public library system is the very foundation upon which a community can build for the future. It supports all other forms of activity, from the arts to a thriving community, from education to public affairs, from science to cultural engagement.
As the population and needs of the community grow and change, the demand for more books, materials, services and programs grows. In fact in 2010 alone, the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library had over 1.8 million visits and offered more than 2,800 classes, with over 78,000 persons in attendance. In addition, checkouts topped 3.2 million, we answered nearly 800,000 reference questions and customers logged more than 235,000 hours on the public access computers.
Your support enables the library to go above and beyond what tax dollars underwrite. Gifts to the Foundation help us provide programs and services that might not be possible otherwise.
