Welcome to the EVPL READ Sensory Room!

The READ Sensory Room – found in EVPL Central’s READ Center – is a safe place for children with sensory processing differences or other challenging conditions in need of a calm, sensory-friendly space. As a multi-sensory environment (MSE), it is designed to help children self-regulate through a variety of sensory solutions.

From noise-canceling headphones and weighted blankets to the fiber optic waterfall and tactile balance beam, the room is flexible to be used for both sensory seeking and sensory avoiding.

Parents or caregivers may reserve the room for up to two hours at a time here. For more information, call EVPL’s READ Center information desk at 812.428.8225.
