In September 2022, Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library added online access to The New York Times to its collection of digital resources and databases for all EVPL users. This includes access to articles from The New York Times from 1851 to today, along with videos, company data, and interactive features. Access to NYT Cooking and NYT Games is also available.
Library users may read articles in any EVPL location or redeem a code for 72-hour remote and app access on their own devices. All you need is your EVPL card to set up your account. On first use, you’ll provide an email address and create a password to access services. EVPL has even set up a convenient launch page at evpl.org/nyt to help you whether you’re inside or outside the library.
NYT Cooking is a collection of recipes from experts for any occasion or taste. It includes thousands of recipes, a personal Recipe Box, video guides, and more.
NYT Games features crossword puzzles, spelling bee, Wordle, and many other popular thinking and strategy games.
The New York Times is produced in English and other select languages. Also included are The New York Times Book Review, podcasts, videos, interactive graphics, photos, film documentaries, and archival material dating back to 1851. The Sunday Crossword is not included. Users can view all content from daily print editions through the online site or NYT apps.
