This exhibition features work from various members of the local design group, Evansville Design Group (EDG). Established in 2011, EDG was formed to develop a community of Evansville-based design professionals from every corner of the design world – graphic, product, photography, and anything in between.
Showcasing the work of EDG demonstrates that Evansville has an innovative and distinctive design community.

EVANSVILLE BASKET GUILD
EVPL Oaklyn | July 1 – September 23
The Evansville Basket Weavers Guild was established in 2005 to encourage, support, and teach the art of basketry. Their members have varied levels of skill and experience – ranging from beginners to advanced weavers.
The Guild currently has more than 40 members who meet regularly to work on basket-related projects. Fellow members may teach projects or include a teacher from outside the group. The purpose of the gatherings is to create a new project, learn new skills, and enjoy the fellowship of those who share the love of basketry.
The exhibition at EVPL Oaklyn shows a variety of baskets from members that were made throughout the years. Many of the baskets on display have seasonal themes. This fall, the baskets will be exchanged for a second display that will include many fall and winter-themed baskets. That display will extend into early 2025.
