Adjacent to Evansville’s historic Bayard Park, EVPL East is one of our community’s two Carnegie Libraries. Our location opened its doors in January of 1913 after Andrew Carnegie heeded the call of several prominent Evansville citizens to fund two libraries in our city.
Renovated in 2003, EVPL East has been updated with the amenities of today while retaining the original look and feel. Enjoy WiFi, public computer access, printers, and more. Come and experience one of our programs in our spacious meeting room or tuck yourself away in our study areas.
EVPL East has continued its tradition of neighborhood service for 100 years. Our Experience Manager enjoys collaborating with the Bayard Park neighborhood so that we can best meet the neighborhood’s needs and wants.
We welcome you to immerse yourself in our history as you take in EVPL East’s architecture and feel the warmth of the sunshine on your face as you enjoy our grounds.
