Originally located in an old school building just up the road, EVPL Oaklyn opened the doors of its newest location in 2003. Nestled in the side of a hill and situated near the corner of Oak Hill and Lynch, EVPL Oaklyn’s cheery interior and windowed lobby make it easy to forget the majority of the building exists underground.
Beneath a green roof of prairie grass and local wildflowers, EVPL Oaklyn boasts a multitude of calming spaces–a cafe space, private study rooms, a large meeting room, and a children’s area with seating for the whole family. The location offers WiFi, public computer access, and more.
Children can visit us weekly for a unique experience to read to our therapy dogs. Adults might enjoy bringing a picnic and blanket to our summer concert series on Friday evenings.
We welcome you to enjoy the beautiful plants and peaceful animal life as you take a relaxing stroll through our meadow or curl up with a book in front of our fireplace. Discover all the wonders of the library at EVPL Oaklyn!
