From print and digital collections to online tutoring, EVPL is here to support your education.
EVPL is proud to partner with local schools to provide eAccess cards to students. These cards provide students with access to the library’s digital collections and research tools to extend our tools’ reach into the classroom.
In addition to the vast array of research databases the library provides, as well as links from the Indiana State Library, students can use their eAccess cards to checkout eBooks and Audiobooks from OverDrive/Libby, stream media on Hoopla, as well as TumbleBooks, TumbleMath, and TeenBookCloud, and access magazines on OverDrive, and comics on Comics Plus.
Watch this tutorial to learn how to use the EVPL Catalog to search our Research Databases. You can find a short tutorial here that will help you design a search to access peer-reviewed and full-text articles for your assignments and research projects. Information is also provided on how to evaluate an article and tips on how to cite your research.
EVPL has a variety of resources and services to support K-12 education, whether the educational setting is in-person, online, or a mix of both.
Jake is a Reference Librarian at EVPL Central. He loves discovering answers to life’s pressing questions and helping people explore the amazing powers of the library.
