During Library Card Sign-up Month, we asked you to design EVPL’s next library card! We had so many wonderful entries. After a round of voting by EVPL employees, we have three designs to vote on in the Children’s and Adult categories.

The Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library is joining libraries nationwide for Library Card Sign-up Month, a time to remember that a library card gives you access to technology, resources, and services to pursue your passions and dreams.
This year, we are celebrating the dino-mite resources and services offered by EVPL!
Not only can you check out books, music, audiobooks, magazines, and more, you can access free digital downloads of eBooks, eAudiobooks, music, and movies. Plus, you can learn a new hobby with one of our crafting databases, or receive homework or job search help from our in-person and virtual career resources.
Here’s how we’re celebrating Library Card Sign-up Month
- Hang out with a real dinosaur! Beaux the Tyrannosaurus Rex and some of his friends will be visiting the library. Be sure to join us for a roar-some time!
- Help create the newest EVPL library card design! Designs will be reviewed by a committee of EVPL team members, and multiple designs in each age group will be shared in a contest on EVPL’s Facebook page for the community to vote on the 2022 limited edition EVPL cards – one per age group.
- We want to hear about your stories and memories of EVPL! Share Your Story stations will be set up at all locations throughout September. Each week will have a different prompt. Submissions will be assembled into a book, 2021 EVPL Memory Book.
- If you are unable to make it to a location to share your memories, you can submit them online

EVPL cards are FREE to Vanderburgh County residents. Plus, we offer a variety of library card options for those residing outside of the county. Drop by any EVPL location, or sign-up online, to get your EVPL card today. You won’t be saur-y!
