You might not be commuting to work right now, but that doesn’t mean EVPL can’t supply you with eAudiobooks to listen to while you’re exercising or cleaning or just relaxing. If you’re now teaching your kids at home, we have eAudiobooks for them as well, both for fun and for entertaining education. You can find eAudiobooks in our online collections under RBdigital. Best of all, there’s no waiting for these titles. You can check them out immediately. Because multiple people can check them out, you can even use them with your book clubs right now when our print collections are unavailable.
Here are a few suggestions just to get you started. First, let’s look at what’s available in our children’s/young adult eAudiobook collections. If some of your kids are fans of the Wimpy Kids books by Jeff Kinney, they can listen to them through RBdigital. Are you trying to keep your kids interested in science or history while school is now at home? You might want to check out the Juvenile Nonfiction collection. You can find it on RBdigital by clicking Explore, then View By Genre. There’s an entire list of subjects. That’s where you’ll find Juvenile Nonfiction. If you want to make science fun, let your child listen to Horrible Science: Disgusting Questions. There’s one title called Girls Think of Everything: Stories of Ingenious Inventions by Women. In the history area, what youngster is going to pass up the chance to listen to Oh, Yikes! History’s Grossest, Wackiest Moments?
Are you looking for books for yourself? How about listening to one of the popular Diana Gabaldon titles, such as Outlander? Or, maybe you were a fan of the Longmire television series. Craig Johnson wrote those mysteries, beginning with Cold Dish, which is available on RBdigital. Johnson’s books are narrated by one of the most popular narrators in the business, George Guidall. Looking for something for your book club while you can’t get to our physical books? Maybe you want to listen to William Kent Krueger’s Ordinary Grace. That meaty book has been popular with book clubs.
EVPL has been offering you magazines to check out and read online for quite some time through RBdigital. We still offer that service, and magazines might be the only reading you want to do right now. But, we’ve just added the eAudiobooks collections through RBdigital. They’re available for adults, young adults, and children. Check them out!
